Approximate readout of a call to Juan Ciscomani's office, Thursday April 9th, 2026. ++ Hi, I have a couple of questions you might be able to help me with, concerning the congressman's position on the issues. −− OK, may I ask your name and zip code? ++ [...] −− OK, go ahead with your questions. ++ Am I right to assume the congressman is aware that troops were sent abroad, in open defiance of the law, in open defiance of the constitution, and with open contempt for Congress? −− Uhh, I don't know about such things. ++ Well, are you aware that troops were sent abroad? It's been headline news for more than a month. −− I don't really follow the headlines. I mostly look at local news. ++ It's been all over the local news for weeks. Soldiers wounded and dead. Airplanes shot down. Multiple war crimes. A hundred billion dollars. −− I can't really answer your question. The congressman hasn't issued any statements on that. But I can take a comment if you like. ++ OK, let me offer a comment, and then move on to my second question. ++ My comment goes like this: As a matter of fact, troops were sent abroad, without any declaration of war, without any congressional authorization, in open defiance of the war powers law, in open defiance of article I section 8 of the constitution, and with open contempt for Congress. Not to mention committing war crimes and boasting about it. This is something the congressman ought to care about. −− OK, got it, I'll pass that along. ++ My second question goes like this: If this is not an impeachable offense, what is? −− Huh? ++ It's a simple enough question. Is a willfully, flagrantly illegal war an impeachable offense? −− The congressman hasn't made any statements about that. ++ Well, it's high time he figured it out. This is his job. He took an oath to defend the constitution. When is he going to start doing that? He needs to grow a spine. He needs to stand for something. -- I can assure you that if the congressman finds evidence of an impeachable offense, he will take care of that in the best interests of his constituents. ++ Now would be a good time. -- OK ++ Thanks for your help. Catch you later. Bye.
